Multiple victims found during the primary search

At approximately 0400 hours members of the Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department responded to the reported house fire in the 8600 block of Leslie Avenue in Glenarden. Glenarden is a small community in the greater Landover area.

Volunteers from Kentland (Company 33) were the first to arrive and found fire showing from the one-story Type III single-family dwelling. During the primary search firefighters located and removed one adult and three children. CPR was immediately started on all four victims as they were turned over to paramedics. One other adult and child had escaped the blaze prior to the arrival of firefighters and were also treated for injuries.
